July 9, 2014

HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 9, 2014-- Michael Kors (NYSE:KORS), a global luxury lifestyle brand, is pleased to announce that Mark Brashear has been named to the newly created role of President of Men’s. He will report to John D. Idol, the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Brashear’s appointment, effective July 7, 2014, is a key element in the brand’s strategic development of its men’s business. “The men’s world represents a significant opportunity for us, and we’ve been putting the pieces in place to grow that business,” says Mr. Idol. “Mark’s appointment is a big step forward because he brings with him a wealth of skills and experience in men’s brand-building.”

Mr. Brashear was most recently at Hugo Boss, where he held the aposition of CEO and Chairman, Americas. “In the coming months we are launching a men’s fragrance, introducing a new collection of men’s watches and opening our first flagship store to feature the full men’s offering, in SoHo,” says Mr. Idol. “The addition of Mark to our team now enables us to build substantially on the momentum we’ve created.”

“The potential for Michael Kors Men’s is simply enormous, as anyone who knows the brand can see,” says Mr. Brashear. “I’m excited to be joining such a dynamic team and look forward to contributing to the growth of this powerful brand.”
