In 2021, our company signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion, a CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In line with this commitment, we launched four web-based trainings globally to all employees.
In an effort to cultivate conversation and continue educating our employees on important topics in diversity and inclusion, Capri launched a monthly Diversity & Inclusion speaker series, led by significant, diverse leaders across a variety of industries.
Past speakers who have joined us in conversation include Nicola Adams, the first female to win an Olympic boxing medal (UK Black History Month); Sinead Burke, an academic and advocate for disability and design (Disability Employment Awareness Month); Holocaust survivor Dr. Inge Auerbacher (Holocaust Remembrance Day); Minnijean Brown-Trickey, one of the nine African American students who resisted opposition to desegregation to enter Little Rock Central High School in 1957 (Black History Month); JuJu Chang, news anchor and journalist(Asian Pacific Heritage Island Month); Laurie Hernandez, American gold medalist gymnast, part of the “final five” Olympic gold medalist team (Hispanic and Latinx History Month); Moj Mahdara, accomplished speaker, business figure, activist, and founder of The Iranian Diaspora Collective (Women’s Movement in Iran), and many more!
Capri publishes monthly communications in order to educate our Capri by sharing and celebrating more than 100 global holidays and events. We also issue regular D&I newsletters to provide our teams with education around Capri’s D&I strategy and programming.
We want to ensure Capri is a safe, supportive environment for all but are deeply committed to driving inclusion and belonging in the workplace. Our Employee Resource Groups (“ERGs”) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace. The groups exist to provide support and help in personal or career development, and to create a safe space where employees can bring their whole selves to the table. While ERGs primarily provide support for those who self-identify with a particular group, they are also a place where allies of that group can show and find support for their colleagues as well.
PRIDE@Capri mission is to create a secure, respected and accepting environment where professionals of all sexual orientations, gender identities and their allies are enabled and empowered to reach their full potential.
Our group exists to provide a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for black employees to thrive and advance a respectful and caring community, which aids in relationship building across different workgroups.
APPLAUD (Asian Pacific Partners, Leaders, and Unified Doers) is dedicated to promoting a collaborative and supportive space for Asian/Pacific Islander employees to interact with one another and share dynamic cultural and career inspirations within the Capri organization.
Through advocacy and development, we strive to build strong relationships, advance careers, and foster support among women employees. We want to create awareness around issues women face in the workplace, support working moms as they navigate the different stages of parenthood and provide tools and resources for women and allies. “We are more powerful when we empower each other”.
We are committed to creating and connecting a community of working parents, those on a journey to starting a family, and their allies to share experiences, challenges, and learnings.
To Unite and Empower ALL Latino communities through cultural celebration advocacy and equitable opportunities. Fostering a sense of belonging, leadership, and social progress. We strive to create a supportive group that allows a voice and self-empowerment that allows everyone to be heard. One Group! Many countries! Together United as one!
