Differences in ideas and experiences allow our company to thrive. We are attracting, advancing, and advocating for a workforce that reflects the diversity of the world around us. Our employees are the heart and soul of all we do. Recruiting, developing, and retaining passionate, skilled, and diverse talent moves our company and its brands forward.
We believe one of the keys to increasing representation in our workforce is to support early talent. We have broadened our internship program in partnership with several trusted partners working to drive diversity, including:
We have created learning and development opportunities to help all our employees reach their full potential and support one another along the way. These opportunities are designed for everyone from early-career employees to our most experienced professionals and have a special focus on making sure that promising employees from underrepresented groups get the chance to gain visibility and grow in their careers.
Beyond inclusive recruiting, we are focused on ensuring equitable professional growth and development opportunities within Capri. As such, we offer a voluntary, two model mentorship program with traditional mentoring and reverse mentoring. In a traditional mentorship, a mentor is expected to be more senior and more experienced than the mentee. In reverse mentorship, a less experienced team member mentors a more senior level in which they exchange skills, knowledge and understanding. With more than 400 participants around the world, the Capri Mentorship Program support and empower employees in their careers, develops their skills and provides opportunities to network, all while fostering an open and inviting company culture.
The Michael Kors North America Retail Leadership Program develops high potential leaders by providing internal development opportunities and promoting internal succession within the stores. In this interactive program, employees will master each area of the business by reviewing tools, participating in virtual training classes, partaking in hands-on activities, and completing stretch assignments. On average, more than 50% of participants in our Michael Kors Retail Leadership program are promoted.
